Fred Gilson, a member of the chain gang for 47 years, suffered a heart attack on the field about 25 minutes before kickoff and was taken to Evanston Hospital, a team spokesperson said. NU team physician George Chiampas performed CPR on Gilson, 83, and the spokesperson said Gilson was in good condition and ­undergoing tests.
